In the beginning our Centre was an Elementary School for children from grade primary to six. The school was closed as a new and more modern one was built just a short distance away.
The centre opened its doors to the new tenants in October 2003. At first we crawled, then we stood up, and now we are all walking with pride! The grand opening was held at the first Christmas Open House held in December 2003. As a Community Centre we have grown by leaps and bounds. There are permanent tenants, part time tenants and those who use our facilities part of the time. We work and play together at our facility for the enrichment of all ages. We are like a big family with all its growing pains and new experiences. Our centre is home to many people from seniors groups, children groups, music both vocal and instrumental, we have a group that has environment very much on their mind and we even host our very own Councilor. As a Community Centre we rock! We have good times and celebrate life to the fullest. |  |
